The complete package gives you everything you need for your driving licence: driving lessons (7, 10, or 12 sessions), stage assessments at stages 2 and 3, a safety course on the training track, and all mandatory courses (4.1.1-4.1.4). You practise on roads in the Asker area - E18 on-ramp at Nesbru, roundabouts, and country roads towards Heggedal, Slemmestad, and Tranby - and gain varied experience that prepares you for the driving test.
The national average is 15-25 lessons in total, but many students manage with fewer if they practise well at home. We offer packages with 7, 10, or 12 lessons. In Asker, we have great training conditions with both country roads and town driving - you quickly become comfortable with the E18 and local roads in the area.
It depends on your needs. Many in the Asker area choose manual because they want to be able to drive any car, including older family cars. Automatic is easier to learn and gives you code 78 on your licence. Both cost the same with us at Borgen - have a chat with the instructor and we will help you choose.
Yes, it is easy to add individual lessons as needed. Start with a package and see how your progression goes. At Borgen, it is flexible to book extra time - call us or use the calendar. We adapt to your situation, whether you need more practice with parking or country road driving.
These are required parts of the training: driving risk awareness, country road driving (we drive the E18 past Nesbru towards Lier and Tranby, or the country roads towards Slemmestad and Royken), varied traffic environments, and reflection. Everything is included in the mandatory package at Borgen, so you do not need to keep track of it separately. We take you through the entire process.
The mandatory package with 7 driving lessons starts from approx. 22 500 kr, the package with 12 lessons from approx. 26 600 kr. In addition, there is a fee to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration for the driving test. Check our prices page for current figures, or call us at Borgen - we will help you find the package that fits your budget.
You can start practice driving from the age of 16, provided you have completed the basic traffic course (mandatory for those under 25). At Borgen, we have times available most days - morning, afternoon, and evening. We accommodate school and work schedules for students from Asker, Baerum, Lier, and Royken.
With steady progression, most students are ready for the driving test in 3-6 months. In Asker, we have great conditions for both country roads and town driving, so you get versatile training. We make a plan together with you - some prefer intensive periods, others spread lessons over a longer time.
No, we provide a training car with dual controls for all lessons and the driving test - driving schools are required to have dual controls so the instructor can intervene if needed. Practice at home is valuable - practise privately with parents or others over 25 with at least 5 years of driving experience. You do not need dual controls for that, but the car must display an L sign. The Asker area is great for beginners: quiet residential streets in Vettre and Vollen, more traffic at Nesbru and towards Sandvika, and the E18 for motorway experience towards Lier and Tranby.
