Ask us about this courseThe load securing course is mandatory if you are getting a trailer licence (BE or B96). At our course in Grefsen, you learn to secure cargo safely using straps, chains and nets. This is essential knowledge whether you are towing a boat to the Oslofjord, a caravan down south, or transporting goods in everyday life. With heavy traffic on Ring 3 and E6 heading north, correct load securing is especially important for safety.
Our course at Grefsen takes 90 minutes. We hold it at the premises on Grefsenveien 107, with practical exercises on a trailer near the branch. Many students combine the load securing course with a driving lesson the same day, which is convenient if you are coming from Loren, Torshov or Nydalen.
You get hands-on training with ratchet straps, chains and securing nets. We cover legal requirements, calculation of securing force and weight distribution, everything you need to secure cargo safely on Norwegian roads. The course is especially useful if you will be driving E6 towards Lillehammer, E18 westbound, or in Oslo traffic where sudden braking happens more often.
Yes, the load securing course is mandatory for both BE and B96. You cannot complete your trailer licence without it. At Grefsen, we offer load securing courses several times a month. Check our calendar for available spots. The course can be taken at any point during your trailer licence training.
